First of all, welcome to
jeffcummins.com, finally!
After lots of deliberation, hold-ups and so on Cummins has
com!
Along for
the ride, as special guest, is my good friend and techno-phobe
Allan Ballard, the most amazing photographer to have ever
'served a writ on me'! Allan should, by rights, have his
own website, but has a laid-back 'why drive when you can
hitch hike' approach, which is fine by me.
No news specifically,
as yet, but 'projects in development' aplenty!
I am currently looking for TV
production company partners with a view
to further developing several children's TV animation projects
which I, and in some cases, with colleagues, have devised
and designed.
I am also talking to galleries
in London with plans to stage exhibitions for both myself
and Allan Ballard. To be announced!
Allan has several pictures on show currently at the National
Portrait Gallery, London, including his
photographs of Twiggy in the 'Blondes' exhibition and Suzi
Quatro in the 'Women in Rock' exhibition.
Allan is in the process of restoring his documentary film
he made featuring Country & Western star Don
Williams which he shot in Nashville and
New York in the late 70s. The original film was lost several
years ago but recently Allan discovered a copy of the film
on early format video, which, apart from the odd split second,
is in excellent condition.
We are also talking to publishers
with regards to Allan's Retrospective Book, looking at his
work over four decades, at the forefront of popular culture.
We are considering too, the option of publishing several
volumes, covering different genres; Fashion, Film &
Television, Rock & Pop and so on...
'Tangible' news, dates etc... will be posted as they become
a reality!
